Larimer County Prostitution FAQ #2: Is Escorting Legal in Fort Collins, Colorado?

Yes, in Fort Collins and Larimer County, Escorting is legal. Escort, defined under C.R.S. 29-11.8-103, means:

any person who, for a salary, fee, commission, hire, or profit, makes himself or herself available to the public for the purpose of accompanying other persons for companionship.

This means, with a valid license, a person can take payment for spending time with another. However, if sex is involved, it becomes Prostitution, which is illegal.

Prostitution FAQ #3: What is the Penalty for Soliciting Prostitution in Colorado?
