Aggravated Robbery is charged in Fort Collins and Larimer County when a person is accused of taking something of value from a person while armed with a deadly weapon. Recently, a couple set up a Tinder date scheme that ended up with a high-speed chase and an arrest. According to the report, a man had matched with a woman named Sonya and had set up a date. Instead of being met by the woman he expected, he was instead met by a couple with guns. He was told to hand over his valuables and provide his PIN codes and other important financial information. He was then made to drive the couple to a nearby bank at which point they took off in his car. The couple apparently used their real names at one hotel and that’s how they were identified. At some point, police connected an escort ad to the couple’s phone number and set up a meeting. Police attempted to arrest them, but they were able to flee, leading to a high-speed chase. A collision finally resulted in the two being arrested.
