Public Indecency is charged in Larimer County and Fort Collins when a person exposes themselves for the purpose of alarming another. A teacher was recently under fire for Public Indecency after his neighbor recorded him mowing his yard completely naked. According to the report, the teacher was recorded in the nude pushing around his lawn mower. It seemed that the man did not realize he was being recorded, nor did he notice that anyone was watching him. He was originally charged with the equivalence of Public Indecency and Disorderly Conduct, but ended up with a deferred sentence to just the Disorderly Conduct. The charges have caused issues with his job, as he was moved to a non-teaching position within the school. Even though there was no sexual intent, it seems that nakedness causes some to think that he is not fit to teach. The teacher is currently fighting to get his teaching position back.
